For us, Easter morning started at 5:30. The boys were up very early getting into their baskets. We all scrambled to wake up and get out the door to attend a sunrise service among our friends.
We arrived on top of "the mountain" at 7:05.
It was cold. Really cold. A strong, icy wind was blowing hard and the outside temperature was a frigid 27 degrees.
We all huddled together inside the garage. Our hosts had generously prepared refreshements and heaters...the heaters were a very popular item.
We had a wonderful service as the sun rose up over the hills.
The singing was beautiful and it was nice to commune with good friends in such a lovely setting.
